I first began practising Yoga in 2005  and it has been a constant passion since then.

I am a fully qualified British Wheel of Yoga Teacher holding a 500 hr Level 4 teaching Diploma. I have further qualifications in teaching:

Restorative Yoga

Yin Yoga

Yoga for Stress, burnout and fatigue

Mindfulness Meditation

I primarily teach Hatha Yoga which are the physical practices of Yoga incorporating Asanas (Physical postures), Pranayama (Breathing practices) and Relaxation.

The words Hatha and Yoga have their roots in the Sanskrit language (Ha means Sun, Tha means moon and Yoga means to merge or unite). When we practice Hatha Yoga we seek to bring together the mind and body through physical movements, postures, breathing awareness and meditation.

Some of the many benefits of practising Yoga are:

  • Increases flexibility and joint mobility

  • Strengthens and tones muscles

  • Better posture and body awareness

  • Strengthens bones

  • Improves breathing and circulation

  • Calms the mind and nervous system

  • Brings focus to the mind

  • Creates a sense of wellbeing and vitality

  • Develops co-ordination and balance

For me Yoga is a way of nurturing your body and mind leading to a physical and emotional clarity.

Yoga is for everybody; regardless of experience or physical ability. It is a non-competitive practice where every student is encouraged to work within their own limits to safely explore their own personal development

I look forward to welcoming you into a class soon
